Ηχοπερίπατος στη Λίμνη Βιστωνίδα
Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Υγροτόπων, το Σάββατο 2 Φεβρουαρίου 2013, ο Μαρίνος Κουτσομιχάλης συντονίζει έναν ιδιότυπο ηχοπερίπατο στην Λίμνη της Βιστωνίδας. Στο εργαστήριο που θα δημιουργηθεί, οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να μάθουν και να εξασκήσουν διάφορες μεθόδους ηχογράφησης πεδίου και να εξευρενήσουν ηχητικά τόσο τον εναέριο όσο και τον υποβρύχιο ακουστικό χώρο αυτής της ιδιαίτερης τοποθεσίας.

Εκκίνηση από το Κέντρο Πληροφόρησης Λίμνης Βιστωνίδας.
Συμμετέχει η Περιβαλλοντική Ομάδα 3ου Γενικού Λυκείου Ξάνθης στα πλαίσια του προγράμματός της «Οι Δρόμοι της Νανόχηνας».

Θα πραγματοποιηθεί παρουσίαση – συναυλία του Μαρίνου Κουτσομιχάλη  βασισμένη στο υλικό των ηχογραφήσεων της προηγούμενης ημέρας στο Λαογραφικό Μουσείο Ξάνθης.

To θέρεμιν είναι ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο μουσικό όργανο που επινόησε ο Ρώσος Λέον Θέρεμιν το 1928. Το θέρεμιν παίζεται χωρίς ο μουσικός να το αγγίζει, παρά μόνο κινώντας οριζόντια και κάθετα τα χέρια του προς τις δύο μεταλικές κεραίες του και ελέγχοντας κατά τον τρόπο αυτό τις συχνότητες που εκπέμπει και την έντασή τους.

Η May Roosevelt είναι μια ασυνήθηστη θερεμινίστρια, συνθέτης και παραγωγός. Κουβαλώντας επιρροές από Bach, Bjork, Residents, Klaus Nomi, τα φαντάσματα του παιδικού της casio, αλλά και την κλασική παιδεία του βιολιού, δημιουργεί απόκοσμα ηχητικά περιβάλλοντα που συνοδεύονται από ηλεκτρονικούς ρυθμούς και αχνά industrial περάσματα. Πρόσφατα κυκλοφόρησε το άλμπουμ “Haunted” που απέσπασε εξαιρετικές κριτικές, μέρη του οποίου θα παρουσιαστούν στη συναυλία. Πρόκειται για μία εντυπωσιακά καινοτόμα προσέγγιση οκτώ παραδοσιακών ελληνικών χορευτικών ρυθμών.

Ενδεικτικά, έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς καλλιτέχνες στην Ελλαδα και το εξωτερικό όπως Matisse, Xaxakes, ION, Daisuke Tanabe, Mujuice.

Χρυσαλλίδα είναι ένα όνομα κάτω από την εποπτεία του οποίου διοργανώνονται στην πόλη της Ξάνθης μια σειρά από μουσικές κυρίως διοργανώσεις -με άξονα την πειραμματική μουσική, αλλά και με διάφορα άλλα παρακλάδια. Μέχρι σήμερα έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί πάνω από 60 εκδηλώσεις που περιλαμβάνουν συναυλίες, εγκαταστάσεις, εκθέσεις, ομιλίες, παραστάσεις, περφόρμανς και dj parties, ενώ έχουν φιλοξενηθεί στην πόλη γι’ αυτό το σκοπό, πάνω από 120 καλλιτέχνες από την Ελλάδα αλλά και από το εξωτερικό.

Το ίδιο το όνομα της Χρυσαλλίδας δεν έβγαινε μέχρι τώρα πάντοτε στην επιφάνεια, πολλές αφίσες και ανακοινώσεις μέχρι και σήμερα αναφέρουν απλά ως διοργανωτές δύο μη κερδοσκοπικούς οργανισμούς της πόλης, την Φιλοπρόοδη Ένωση Ξάνθης (ΦΕΞ) και το Πολιτιστικό Αναπτυξιακό Κέντρο Θράκης (ΠΑΚΕΘΡΑ), που είναι και βασικοί συντελεστές αυτής της προσπάθειας. Πλέον γίνεται μια προσπάθεια καταγραφής του έργου αυτής της πρωτοβουλίας, στον χώρο του ομώνυμου δικτυακού τόπου.

Το σάιτ εγκαινιάστηκε τον προηγούμενο μήνα και ήδη διαθέτει έναν ικανό όγκο υλικού από το αρχείο των εκδηλώσεων.

Hana is a techno project with some members of the granny records collective behind it. Syndromes is a electroacoustic/noise project by the man behind the organized music from thessaloniki label. Angelos kyriou is an urban singer-songwriter with a twist. They’ll both be at the same place this Saturday, 18/6; in the back yard of the Xanthi Folk Museum in the old city of Xanthi. 21:00. 5eu.

three upcoming dates in greece, featuring the first time meeting between Lucio Capece [bass clarinet], Nikos Veliotis [cello] and Kostis Kilymis [electronics]. the three of us will get together in Thessaloniki for one night in the company of the local label/collective granny records who will perform a special turntable-based set. Next, we’ll head over to Xanthi in the east and finally finish off the tour in Athens with much style and aplomb.

this will be Lucio’s second time in greece [he visited athens almost a year ago as part of the Vladislav Delay Quartet] and the first time he will be performing alongside Nikos Veliotis.

yep, title’s taken from pauline oliveros’s same titled track and couldn’t find better for the final absurd release.
so below’s some info on the upcoming final absurd thing full schedule / details are to follow later but announce the first details of the absurd #84 scrapbook in case anyone’s interested in crashin’ in xanthi on december the 4th.

the idea is as follows, a final release or at least an effort for a final release but as i’ve never had a straight online release (perhaps the thu 20 piece might be an exception or an ‘odyssey’ depending on the angle you see it) thought as a nice idea to set up a mini fest to say goodbye to fellow coneptualists and end absurd there and at the same time this mini fest to be an a release in process. that simple.

so as i don’t wanna beat about the bush as mentioned earlier on saturday the 4th at the ‘spiti politismou’ of f.e.x. in xanthi this ‘release’ / adieau absurd mini fest will take place.
further schedule details are to follow as 90% a date in thessaloniki on friday the 3rd is also possible to take place if the pals up there find a place to set it up.

the line-up so far includes:

ilan is a graphic artist as well as a formidable saxophone player whose work often flirts with noise. In the case of this concert (original post about it here) things got a bit out-of-hand, so much that ilan himself thought the recording was somehow defective when we played it back some days later. a very strong gig, get it here:

Ο Ιλάν Μανουάχ καλεί για 3 συναυλίες στην Ελλάδα έναν από τους πιο δραστήριους μουσικούς της ευρωπαικής σκηνής, τον Michel Doneda.
Έμπειρος αυτοσχεδιαστής, μουσικός με πλούσιες επιρροές τόσο από την σύχρονη μουσική (Luciano Berio, Giacinto Scelsi) μέσα από την χρήση των extended techniques στο σαξόφωνο όσο και από την πανκ και το χαρντκορ (Kaoru Abe, Sonic Youth με τους οποίους και έχει συνεργαστεί) είναι ένας από τους λιγους αυτοσχεδιαστές που προτείνουν μια εκλεπτυσμένη μόρφη ηχητικής βίας. Οι μουσικές του και οι συναντήσεις αυτές έχουν θρέψει μια πλούσια δισκογραφική δράση, περιλαμβάνοντας πάνω από 50 δίσκους στο δυναμικό του.

Ο Ιλάν Μανουάχ είναι μουσικός και ασχολείται επίσης επαγγελματικά με τα πειραματικές μορφές διήγησης, Οι εικαστικές του δουλειές εκδίδονται στο Βέλγιο καθώς και σε άλλες χώρες στην Ευρώπη και ετοιμάζεται να εκδόσει το πρώτο σόλο lp.
