Henrik Olsson: Γεννήθηκε στην Σουηδική εξοχή το 75. Παίζει αυτοσχέδια κρουστά. Μετρά αναρίθμητες συνεργασίες (Τetuzi Akiyama, Keith Rowe κ.α.) καθώς και κυκλοφορίες σε εταιρίες όπως οι Monotype Records, BombaxBombax, Kning Disk κ.α. Στο Random Festival θα συμπράξει με την Δήμητρα Χατζηγώγα στο Zither και τον Αναστάση Γρίβα στην κιθάρα.

Reynaldo Young: Συνθέτης και κιθαρίστας, γεννημένος στην Ουρουγουάη. Ιδρυτής του cardboard citizens new music ensemble του μοναδικού Βρετανικού συνόλου σύγχρονης μουσικής που απαρτίζεται από άστεγους. Στο Random Festival θα συμπράξει με τον Νίκο Βελιώτη.

Johannes Bergmark: Γεννημένος στην Στοχόλμη, ειδικεύεται στην ενίσχυση κάθε έιδους παραφερνάλια αλλά κατασκεβάζει επίσης δικά του πειραματικά μουσικά όργανα όλα από φτηνά υλικά και found objects. ‘Εχει μία απόλυτη D.I.Y. προσέγγιση στον ήχο η οποία τον έχει ταιδέψει σε 23 χώρες. Στο Random Festival θα συμπράξει με την Tippi Tillvind.

Tippi Tillvind: Μία Σουηδή που δεν έχει καμία φιλοδοξία να γίνει επαγγελματίας καλλιτέχνης αλλά ούτε και να κάνει μουσική από χόμπυ μιας και πιστεύει πως και οι δύο περιπτώσεις την περιορίζουν καλλιτεχνικά! Συνήθως δημιουργεί ηχτικά/λεκτικά κολάζ. Στο Random Festival θα συμπράξει με τον Johannes Bergmark.

three upcoming dates in greece, featuring the first time meeting between Lucio Capece [bass clarinet], Nikos Veliotis [cello] and Kostis Kilymis [electronics]. the three of us will get together in Thessaloniki for one night in the company of the local label/collective granny records who will perform a special turntable-based set. Next, we’ll head over to Xanthi in the east and finally finish off the tour in Athens with much style and aplomb.

this will be Lucio’s second time in greece [he visited athens almost a year ago as part of the Vladislav Delay Quartet] and the first time he will be performing alongside Nikos Veliotis.

tot 1.0 evolved from the coinciding visits of ferran fages and grundik kasyansky in athens, greece. of course it grew up to be a lot more than that, it will feature performances of said musicians together and with local musicians, a solo performance of nikos veliotis on piano, a sax and electronics set from ilan manouach & george axiotis and a kind-of “dj set” from members of this site opening the festival

notable for the 2nd greek appearance by Lee Patterson, an artist who has received much praise lately for his work with contact microphones and for his efforts to bring to our attention the microscopic sounds of materials and objects. Unless the promo text for the show is all hype, the performance will take place in an unorthodox setting “using a single, continuous space in which the audio installation, audience and performers co-exist“.  The space used for the performance also looks quite beautiful. Video installation will be by Thanos Evgeniou & lighting design will be taken care of by Dionysis Efthymiopoulos.
