Portuguese electroacoustic composer and field recordist, João Castro Pinto, has a new recording out on the triple bath label. Consisting of “interspersed soundwalks and soundscapes”, the disc delves into the composer’s take on panaurality, i.e., the formal practice of incorporating the typology of everyday or extra-musical sounds into musical pieces.
