tasos stamou, ilan manouach cdr

on a question of re_entry

q09

tasos stamou, ilan manouach cdr

a varied duel between the two that took place in amfissa earlier this year. ilan sticks to soprano and sopranino saxophones while tasos circles him with all kinds of small & toy instruments and loops. exploratory at first, tuneful when it needs to ride to the occasion, a very nice and breezy document.

SLW – Fifteen point nine grams

t07

a brand new release on organized music from thessaloniki

SLW – Fifteen point nine grams

this is the second album from the international quartet of Burkhard Beins, Lucio Capece, Rhodri Davies & Toshimaru Nakamura; it is a particularly engrossing listen, recorded live and presented here for your aural pleasure. SLW, the name of the group, stands for ‘Sounds Like Water’ and it’s an analogy that describes pretty well the flow and the sheer presence of this music. Beyond boundaries, listen loud and often.
